I found May Britt & Kris Meares

After almost all night browsing and reading crafters/sewers/quilters blogs - i bump into this blog owns by May Britt (I am not sure where do I got her link, but from a blog that has join the challenge of course).

I am not hoping for any prizes (but won't refuse to receive if I won one ^_^) but my main objective is to inspire & motivate myself to finish at least 1 project per month. I've set this target earlier but so far I only able to finish only 3 projects - baby shoes (Dec'08), baby gown (Jan'09) and fabric basket (Feb'09). Owww don't ask me to list down the reasons :-)

Looks like March & April I do not come out with any projects - I did plan March with apron and April with booties - again don't ask me why :-(

But who knows I could come out with something for April - still has few more days before May shows up. I should thank both May Britt & Kris Meares for this challenge program.

Time to rearrange my fabrics

I have quit large collection of fabrics but no yet able to make any project because I love the fabrics (Is that normal? Sigh!). Since the booties project needs to be postponed until I could find where to buy steam-a-seam2, I spent the whole morning to do some rearranging and store my fabrics nicely (not yet getting a specific storage to put them all) - but will one day.

This is my entire collection of felts bought from online store based in Japan. Just to create some soft toys for my kids and perhaps some embellishments on some projects, and pincushions!

This is my little collection of linen, also bought from online store based in Japan.

This is my large collection of American cotton and 98% of them bought through online shop. It's quit expensive for shipping :-( and hardly find these cotton at local store.

After an hour, all collections put nicely into 1 container & see-thru-soft-plastic storage.

In near future (by end year at least) I plan to have a proper sewing corner for myself (not expecting a room yet) with sewing machine of course (oh please I need one) and maybe with something like the following picture ...

Inspired by Ginnys Quilts

Isn't it so nice? Oh, I dream to have one like hers ^_^ one day, one day will come.

My lil-princess needs a pair of shoes (at least) and I know I can sew some goergous shoes for her. So waits no time I got some great patterns from PreciousPatterns & IThinkSewdotcom at Etsy the Handmade Online Store.

Tomorrow i need to check out at local store and look for fusible web for the shoes. I plan at least to make 1 pair of shoes for the lil-one to show off ^_^

Quilting magazines from US!

I was shocked when I receive a parcel from US last 2 days. I wasn't expecting any parcel coz currently I am restricting myself from doing any online shopping ^_^

OMG! It was from Patrice! She's my pal from Facebook. We met in sewing group and become friends. She offers to share some magazines and she is so nice to have 6 magazines shipped to me for free.

Thank you, thank you, thank you my friend! I hope to start my very first quilt very soon! (Pray for me to get inspiration from those wonderful magazines!)
